What to check before you enroll

Programs and time

Auto, diesel and collision students take a six-month core and then a three-month specialty. Applied welding can stop at the six-month core or continue into a nine-month management path. Terms are about six weeks. The catalog calendar groups registration around January, April, July and October, with scheduled breaks. Use that calendar for dates. [WyoTech: 2026-27 catalog]

The catalog lists these cores: automotive, diesel, collision and refinishing, and applied welding. Specialties named in the catalog are Advanced Diesel, Applied Service Management, High Performance Powertrains, Motorsports Chassis Fabrication, Street Rod and Custom Fabrication, and Trim and Upholstery. The school says skills classes are in person, not online. [WyoTech: 2026-27 catalog] [WyoTech: programs]

Tuition, fees and the book deposit

These are the published 2026-27 line items. The school's tuition page adds tuition, the application fee and a $100 books and tools deposit into one "total cost" figure. That deposit is refundable. The tuition page says it is returned when you graduate, minus losses, damages or a balance on your account. The catalog calls it a refundable book and tool deposit. It is a hold, not tuition you have spent. [WyoTech: tuition and aid] [WyoTech: 2026-27 catalog]

The FAFSA school code in the catalog is 009157. For veteran benefit questions the catalog points to Student Readiness at 1-800-521-7158. The catalog names common VA education chapters. Your own entitlement, and the dollar amount VA will pay, come from VA and from the school's certifying official, not from this page.
